CVFOA
Scholarship Program
In 1999
the CVFOA established an annual Scholarship Award Program to be
awarded to graduating scholastic football players that have distinguished
themselves by their sportsmanship, leadership, contributions to
their team, demonstration of school spirit, teamwork and academic
achievement.
Four
five-hundred dollar ($500.00) scholarships are awarded annually
to scholar athletes selected by the CVFOA Scholarship Committee
based upon nominations submitted by the Central Region high schools
served by the CVFOA. The schools coaches, athletic directors and
administrators nominate the scholar-athletes. Four scholarships
are presented each year, one each for AAA, AA, A and Private schools.
A press
release is made by the CVFOA in the Spring of each year announcing
the Scholarship Award winners.
